Friday May 28

Today was a great day at school!  We went for a walk in the community/coulee to see Waterfall Valley, Cattail River and Teepee Forest.  If you are out exploring this weekend, ask your child to show you where these special spots are.

It was fun to eat our snack in the coulee on the path too!  We sat by the pond watching the ducks swim. We even found a teepee that we spent a few minutes exploring.

When we made it to teepee forest we took some time to work in our journals.  We completed the sentence "In the coulee I see ..." by drawing pictures of things we had seen on our walk.  We saw leaves, flowers, bushes, trees, birds, rocks, a pond and so many more interesting things.  After our drawings were complete we used watercolors to paint our picutres.

Back at school we continued practicing writing math sentences.  We continue to work on making sure our numbers are facing the right direction.  We had centers and more snack for those that were still hungry.

We had a fire drill practice.  We were very proud of how well Kindergarten handled the fire drill.

Friday June 4th is a PD Day - there is no school for students
