Today is Orange Shirt Day.  We read, "The Sharing Circle" and then had our own sharing circle in class. We shared about what makes us happy.  Ask your child, what is a sharing circle and what rules do we follow when we are having a sharing circle.  We read, "You Hold Me Up." This story is about how we can love and support each  and to consider each other’s well-being in their everyday actions.  We got an orange heart and drew something inside the heart that holds us up.  You can listen to  You Hold Me Up  here. We learned about 2 of the primary colors, red and yellow.  We learned that if you mix red and yellow you can make orange.  We practiced mixing red and yellow to make orange.  Once we had the shade of orange we liked, we painted an orange shirt in our journals. Please remember to return your library book tomorrow. Yesterday the PM kindergarten practiced our first Fire Drill at school. They did an amazing job! They all followed the 3 S rule- safe, silent and se

Colours, sizes, shapes, etc.  If you are at home, go and collect 10 items in your home. Can you sort them into groups? Once you sort them, can figure out a different way to sort them again?  Check out this link to play a sorting game at home:   Fuzz bugs We went outside and sorted items from nature. We read, Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn. Below is the link if you would like to listen to the story.
