Today we book exchange. Thank you to everyone for bring back their home reading folders.

Great work with all our daily reading at home. Thank you to parents for making reading a priority at home. We appreciate all the hard work our students and parents are putting into the home reading program.

We continued to learn about 3D shapes. We looked at describing and naming the 3D shapes. We tried to find them in our class. Check out the 3D Shapes Song by Harry Kindergarten.  We looked at 2D and 3D shapes and had to sort them in different ways.

We had music. We went outside for gym today.

Please check out www.abcya.com for the Submarine Spelling Practice. The children can practice unscrambling sight words. It is a favourite game in our class.

Tomorrow is an AM kindergarten.

A reminder about masks:

PLEASE SEND CHILDREN WITH AT LEAST TWO CLEAN MASKS EACH DAY

The cold weather has highlighted some challenges for all of us – the need for warmer clothing, Blue Days, etc. We have also discovered that most children require a new mask after outside time because the one they wore outside is wet on the inside from breathing in the cold. Also in Kindergarten we have many children that sometimes need new masks after snack. Some times children's masks are wet from chewing on them. Please send your child to school with at least two clean masks each day to help alleviate these challenges for the students. Last week we provided disposable masks but are now almost out of stock with no more coming in the forseeable future, and learning is much easier when the children are comfortable with a clean mask.

Please note, disposal masks are meant for 1 time use. Please make sure to change masks daily.

Thank you :)

PM Kindergarten please practice our penguin poem at home :)

If I were a penguin I would dive in the water.

I'd swing and eat fish, squid and krill.

If I were a penguin,

I'd keep my egg safe.

I'd protect it for two months from winters chill.

If I were a penguin,

I'd wear black and white and belly slide down hills.

If I were a penguin,

I'd waddle to the ocean on a hot or cold day.
