Friday February 26

Today we read, " The World Needs Who You Were Made To Be" which is a story that celebrates us all. It reminds us all that we are each unique and our differences should be celebrated. Together we can build beautiful things together. We talked about the qualities that make us all special and wrote down one that makes us unique.

We used sharpies to draw out a hot air balloon and then used watercolour to paint it. We will share our creations with you when it is completed :)

We looked at 3D shapes and explored their properties. Do they roll, slide or do both. We played with 3D wooden blocks and then used a venn diagram to place each item. 

We had centers and an outside break in the windy weather !

Monday September 21

Today is Picture Day at school!  We love seeing everyone dressed in their finest with their bright smiles. We continued to talk about our families and drew a picture with sharpie of the people who live in our house.  We read the story "We Belong Together" by Todd Parr.  We also had a chance to explore our new Fall loose part bags.  Please ask your child what was in the bag and what stories they were able to tell. We had music with Mrs. Coulson.  Please ask your child what they did in the music room. Please note: library book exchange will happen on Wednesday this week as there is no school on Thursday.  Please send your child's book to school with them Wednesday if they would like to get a new book. If you have not booked a time slot for your virtual parent teacher conference, please do so as soon as possible.  Thanks! There is no school Thursday September 24 (virtual parent teacher conferences) and Friday September 25 (professional day).
