Today was library, thank you to everyone who returned their book.  We had gym with Mr. Der and music with Mrs. Coulson.  Please ask your child what they did in music and gym. 

It was fun snack today!  Please ask your child how their Cobb's treat was!

Today we played with our Winter loose part bags.  Please ask your child what color the items are in their bag.  Students were very excited to practice their storytelling with the new winter themed items.

Today we read the story The Mitten by Jan Brett.  Please enjoy the read aloud.  We worked on sequencing the events of the story as well as talked about the characters in the book.  Please ask your child to retell the main events in the story.  Who were the characters in the story?  What order did they enter the mitten?

Jacket Racket 2020

We need your help!  We are currently collecting winter wear for Jacket Racket as we have for the past 4 years.  Due to Covid restrictions, we ask that you drop off new or gently used items in the collection bins outside the front door of the school.  Jacket Racket will accept coats, hats, mittens/gloves, boots, etc. in children's and adult sizes.  Please ensure the items are cleaned and in good condition.

Thank you so much for thinking of others during this challenging time!

 Tomorrow is library day.  Please return your library book. Friday is AM Friday.  There is no school Friday January 29 as it is a Professional Development day. We started learning about 2d and 3d shapes. The children were given popsicle sticks and pipe cleaners and had to make as many shapes as they could. We talked about each shape and what it looks like. We played shape games with a partner where one partner drew a shape and the other had to ask yes or no questions to try and figure out what the shape is. For example, "Does it have 4 corners?" "Does it have 3 sides?" etc.  We continued to work on our penguin dioramas.  We had music and gym. Ask your child what they did with Mrs. Coulson and Mr. Der? Wednesday is PINK shirt day.
