Thank you to everyone who sent interesting Fall items to school today.  We appreciate the support! 

We had many students who did not bring a fall item so we will be doing our Fall nature museum on Monday. If you brought an item, it will stay at school on Monday. We will be using the magnifying glasses to look closely at our objects in order to describe them. 

Please bring an item for Monday :) Thank you!

Today we did pointillism name art. We are talking about the letters in our name and the sounds that the letters make. We read some alphabet stories and sang some alphabet songs. 













Find objects at home to make your name.(buttons, utensils, lego etc.) Can you say the letters in your name? Can you make the sound of at least one of the letters in your name? Try this at home!

We are continuing to work on making patterns this week at school. You can practice at home by making patterns with objects or check out Fuzz Bugs Patterns game on abcya. https://www.abcya.com/games/fuzz_bugs_patterns

We had gym and music today.  Please ask your child what they did today.  We had library as well.

 Tomorrow is library day.  Please return your library book. Friday is AM Friday.  There is no school Friday January 29 as it is a Professional Development day. We started learning about 2d and 3d shapes. The children were given popsicle sticks and pipe cleaners and had to make as many shapes as they could. We talked about each shape and what it looks like. We played shape games with a partner where one partner drew a shape and the other had to ask yes or no questions to try and figure out what the shape is. For example, "Does it have 4 corners?" "Does it have 3 sides?" etc.  We continued to work on our penguin dioramas.  We had music and gym. Ask your child what they did with Mrs. Coulson and Mr. Der? Wednesday is PINK shirt day.
