Friday October 16
We explored and created scenes for our Fall bags. Today we noticed there were new items in the bag. What did your child create with items. We are encouraging children to create a scene and tell a story to go along with it.
We read, "Nature Spy". Our class pretended we were nature spies and looked at all of our nature items. We talked about using descriptive words to describe our items. We used the magnifying glasses to look closely at our object. Then is was time for us to try and draw our object. We have been working hard on our fine motor skills since school started and our drawings are getting very good. We used the watercolor paints to paint the object we looked closely at.
You can read the story here Nature Spy
We read, "An Apple's life" and talked about what we know about apples. We looked at different kinds of apples and described what they look, feel and smell like. We learned a poem, The Apple Tree. We practiced our fine motor skills and cut out an apple template and then cut up pieces of red paper to fill up the inside of the apple.
We went outside to play on the playground.
Have a lovely weekend and stay warm :)
