Monday November 30

We started our day with our arrival centers. The centers include literacy and math activities. Each day we try a new one. We are focusing on letter recognition and counting activities.

Mrs. Conley's class continued to talk about what makes each of us unique.  We continued to explore our talents.  We read the story Pokko and the Drum.  We created a graph to help us see what talents our friends at school have.

Mrs. Mask's class read the story, Kindness Is My Superpower. We worked in groups to speak and draw about our superpower. What superpower did your child choose?

We had gym with Mr. Der and music with Mrs. Coulson.

This week we will be learning about the letter B.  Please enjoy The Letter B Song.

Please try out this fun math game to help your child with the skill of counting on from a number.  Candy Stacker - counting on

The PM kindergarten class worked on their snowman winter art. They will be ready to share with you tomorrow :)

Today is the last day for Families Helping Families donations.

As is our tradition at Eric Harvie School, again this year we are calling on your kindness and generosity to help support a family in need at Christmas. This year, we will be supporting 10 families at Colonel Fred J. Scott School who may need a little extra help to make Christmas brighter. While in past years we asked for specific gift donations for individual family members, due to the pandemic, this year will look different.

This year we are asking for monetary donations. These donations will purchase a variety of gift cards (eg. Walmart, Superstore, Safeway) and small stocking stuffers gifted to each member of the 10 families in a stocking. Parent Council has generously offered their support by collecting the money via direct deposit and helping purchase the gifts.

Donations can be made via at ehsestreasurer@gmail.com (No password required.) and are welcomed on or before Monday November 30, 2020.

In the spirit of giving this holiday season, all staff at Eric Harvie School would like to thank families in advance for their contributions and making a family’s Christmas a little brighter!! Thank you also to our Parent Council for their support with this peace initiative.
