Thursday October 29
We had fun seeing everyone dressed up at school today.
We made paint chip halloween monsters. It was fun to see everyone's creativity!
We read the story, "The Crankenstein" and did our very own guided drawings of Frankenstein.
You can watch the story: Crankenstein
We used our "smarts" to do a smartie graphing activity. We each got our own small box of smarties and had to mark on our smarties on the graph how many we had of each colour. Which colour did your child have the most of and least of?
We had music. Ask your child what their favourite Hallowe'en song is.
We had gym with Mr. Der. What game did we play today?
Happy Hallowe'en !
If you would like to add some learning fun into Hallowe'en, here are some ideas below to do with your child.
1. Ask your child to sort their candy by size, shape, colour. type etc.
2. Have them count the number of each kind.
3. Have them count the number of pieces of candy in each small box.
4. Identify the letters on the package they know. Can they find the whole alphabet? Do they know the sound that the letters make?
Kindergarten will be reciting this poem for our Remembrance Day Virtual Assembly. Please help your child to practice the words at home. We will be recording ourselves reciting the poem on Monday November 3. Thanks for practicing the poem at home over the weekend!
