Wednesday June 16

 Thank you to everyone who dressed wacky for "Wacky Wednesday" today!  We enjoyed reading the story "Wacky Wednesday" to go along with our wacky outfits!  Our last spirit day is next Wednesday Beach Day (no bathing suits please).  We look forward to seeing everyone in their best summer gear next week!

Today we completed the alphabet by printing the letter A.  We turned the letter A into an apple.Letter A Video

We continued working on our All About Bugs book.  We painted the butterflies from yesterday and researched our last bug, a worm.  We learned about worms today.  Please ask your child what interesting facts they learned about worms.  We enjoyed this short video at school All About Worms

If you have not returned your child's home reading books/colored folder or library books, all of these items are due back at school ASAP.

Friday is a AM Kindergarten.













Thank you to the Grade 1/2's from Mrs. Campbell's class who came and did their readers theatre of The Tortoise and the Hare. They did a fantastic job !

 Tomorrow is library day.  Please return your library book. Friday is AM Friday.  There is no school Friday January 29 as it is a Professional Development day. We started learning about 2d and 3d shapes. The children were given popsicle sticks and pipe cleaners and had to make as many shapes as they could. We talked about each shape and what it looks like. We played shape games with a partner where one partner drew a shape and the other had to ask yes or no questions to try and figure out what the shape is. For example, "Does it have 4 corners?" "Does it have 3 sides?" etc.  We continued to work on our penguin dioramas.  We had music and gym. Ask your child what they did with Mrs. Coulson and Mr. Der? Wednesday is PINK shirt day.
