Today was a great day at school!  We were excited to learn there are only 5 days left of school (AM Kids) and 6 days left (PM Kids) until summer holidays!

We finished our All About Bugs book today by creating our cover page.  We drew bugs with our sharpies and then used the water colour pencil crayons to colour and paint our bugs.  The finished bug books look amazing and we learned so many cool facts about bugs.

We read a very interesting story all about Dragonfly's today.  Please ask your child what interesting facts they learned about dragonflies.

We had centers, gym with Mr. Der and music with Mrs. Coulson.

Wednesday is Beach Day (no bathing suits please !) 

Friday is PM Friday.

 Tomorrow is library day.  Please return your library book. Friday is AM Friday.  There is no school Friday January 29 as it is a Professional Development day. Monday February 22

We started learning about 2d and 3d shapes. The children were given popsicle sticks and pipe cleaners and had to make as many shapes as they could. We talked about each shape and what it looks like. We played shape games with a partner where one partner drew a shape and the other had to ask yes or no questions to try and figure out what the shape is. For example, "Does it have 4 corners?" "Does it have 3 sides?" etc.  We continued to work on our penguin dioramas.  We had music and gym. Ask your child what they did with Mrs. Coulson and Mr. Der? Wednesday is PINK shirt day.
