Happy Father's Day to all our Kindergarten dads!  We hope you have a great day on Sunday!

Today we worked on an art project for our dad.  We used water-colour pencil crayons to color/paint our masterpieces.

We began work on our plasticine bugs using the plastic lids we collected at school.  We will continue working on our bugs next week.

We painted our worms that we drew yesterday to complete the last page in our All About Bugs book.

We went outside to play at the park and we had centers.

 Tomorrow is library day.  Please return your library book. Friday is AM Friday.  There is no school Friday January 29 as it is a Professional Development day. We started learning about 2d and 3d shapes. The children were given popsicle sticks and pipe cleaners and had to make as many shapes as they could. We talked about each shape and what it looks like. We played shape games with a partner where one partner drew a shape and the other had to ask yes or no questions to try and figure out what the shape is. For example, "Does it have 4 corners?" "Does it have 3 sides?" etc.  We continued to work on our penguin dioramas.  We had music and gym. Ask your child what they did with Mrs. Coulson and Mr. Der? Wednesday is PINK shirt day. We used q-tips and paint to paint dots on the letter D.
