A reminder of how to upload pictures/work into IRIS

 

Instructions for uploading pictures/work into Iris





We would like to have you help us by uploading your child's work to IRIS. Each week we would like your help to upload at least one math activity, one literacy activity and one challenge activity to Iris that your child has completed.  IRIS will allow us as teachers to respond to the work your child is completing at home in a much more efficient manner.  If you would like to upload more than 1 activity for each math, literacy and challenge each week please go ahead.  We are happy to look at all the photos but in the interest of time will only be responding to 1 of each activity each week.

Each Kindergarten child has an IRIS account.  This account is accessed by clicking on this link


To login in you will need your child's CBE ID # and password .  Please find this information in the email sent from your responsibility teacher.

Monday February 22

We started learning about 2d and 3d shapes. The children were given popsicle sticks and pipe cleaners and had to make as many shapes as they could. We talked about each shape and what it looks like. We played shape games with a partner where one partner drew a shape and the other had to ask yes or no questions to try and figure out what the shape is. For example, "Does it have 4 corners?" "Does it have 3 sides?" etc.  We continued to work on our penguin dioramas.  We had music and gym. Ask your child what they did with Mrs. Coulson and Mr. Der? Wednesday is PINK shirt day. We’re excited that you will be able to shop together, selecting the books that inspire your readers, from the comfort of home. We used q-tips and paint to paint dots on the letter D.
