Today was a very busy day at school!  We have been waiting patiently for our black plasticine to arrive so that we can make our penguins.  Unfortunately, the black plasticine never arrived and we changed for black playdough instead.  We were very excited to use a combo of playdough and plasticine to make penguins for our diorama.  Please enjoy your child's creation as everyone brought their completed dioramas home today!

Mrs. Mask's class played 2D/3D bingo.  It was fun to play a game and learn about shapes!

We had gym with Mr. Der and have started working on gymnastics.  Please ask your child what they did in the gym.

Please return your library book tomorrow - we will exchange books before we have no school Thursday and Friday.

Please remember to book your parent teacher conference.  We look forward to talking with all families.

There is no school Thursday or Friday.

Tomorrow is dress like a teacher day and it is the Kindergarten Peace Assembly.  Please watch your email in the morning for a link to the assembly.

 Tomorrow is library day.  Please return your library book. Friday is AM Friday.  There is no school Friday January 29 as it is a Professional Development day. We started learning about 2d and 3d shapes. The children were given popsicle sticks and pipe cleaners and had to make as many shapes as they could. We talked about each shape and what it looks like. We played shape games with a partner where one partner drew a shape and the other had to ask yes or no questions to try and figure out what the shape is. For example, "Does it have 4 corners?" "Does it have 3 sides?" etc.  We continued to work on our penguin dioramas.  We had music and gym. Ask your child what they did with Mrs. Coulson and Mr. Der? Wednesday is PINK shirt day. We used q-tips and paint to paint dots on the letter D.
