Monday March 22

 Today was a fun day at school.  We played with the parachute in music with Mrs. Coulson.  Please ask your child what fun games they played.

We continued our exploration of our community and today we focussed on the helpers who work in our community.  Please ask your child to share with you some of the community helpers they learned about.

We continue to work on 2D and 3D shapes.  We are learning to sort the shapes to make comparisons between them.

We had gym with Mr. Der's class.  Mrs. Conley's class had the chance to climb on the climbing wall during gym today.  Mrs. Mask's classes will have a turn this week to try the climbing wall too.

Wednesday: Inspirational Shirt Day - please wear a fun shirt with a positive message on it!

Thursday: Home reading books & library book to be returned.  Fun Snack!

Friday is PM Kindergarten.  This is also the last day of school before Spring Break.  

Tuesday April 6 - School resumes after Spring Break.  

Friday April 9 - AM Kindergarten

 Tomorrow is library day.  Please return your library book. Friday is AM Friday.  There is no school Friday January 29 as it is a Professional Development day. Monday February 22

We started learning about 2d and 3d shapes. The children were given popsicle sticks and pipe cleaners and had to make as many shapes as they could. We talked about each shape and what it looks like. We played shape games with a partner where one partner drew a shape and the other had to ask yes or no questions to try and figure out what the shape is. For example, "Does it have 4 corners?" "Does it have 3 sides?" etc.  We continued to work on our penguin dioramas.  We had music and gym. Ask your child what they did with Mrs. Coulson and Mr. Der? Wednesday is PINK shirt day.
