Today we worked on our penguin habitat dioramas. Thank you to all of our parents for sending in items to use to create the habitats. Ask your child about what they included in their habitats. 














Tomorrow is PM Friday at school. We will be going outside so please pack winter gear (snowpants, hats, mittens etc.)

We had book exchange.  New home reading will be sent home on Monday.  We had music with Mrs. Coulson and gym with Mr. Der.  Please continue to practice this song at home.

 Tomorrow is library day.  Please return your library book. Friday is AM Friday.  There is no school Friday January 29 as it is a Professional Development day. Monday February 22

We started learning about 2d and 3d shapes. The children were given popsicle sticks and pipe cleaners and had to make as many shapes as they could. We talked about each shape and what it looks like. We played shape games with a partner where one partner drew a shape and the other had to ask yes or no questions to try and figure out what the shape is. For example, "Does it have 4 corners?" "Does it have 3 sides?" etc.  We continued to work on our penguin dioramas.  We had music and gym. Ask your child what they did with Mrs. Coulson and Mr. Der? Wednesday is PINK shirt day. We used q-tips and paint to paint dots on the letter D.
