Tomorrow is Library Day.  Please remember to return your books.  It is Crazy Sweater day tomorrow - we look forward to seeing everyone's crazy sweaters!

Today at school we worked on printing the letter B.  We listened to the story Brown Bear Brown Bear and then turned our letter B's into brown bears.  Please enjoy the letter B song.  Letter B song







We played charades with feelings cards.  Please ask your child what feelings we learned about today.  We read the story In My Heart: A Book of Feelings. We drew pictures and copied sentences about what makes us the happiest.




We had gym with Mr. Der where we continue to work on our basketball skills.

Spirit Days are coming to Eric Harvie for December! Each Thursday in December there will be a new theme for everyone!

 December 3rd – Crazy sweater day

December 10th -  Crazy Hat day

December 17th – Pajama day

 

We are so excited to see what you come up with! Let’s Light Up our Hearts this December!  


On Thursday, Dec. 3rd (which is also crazy sweater day) the kindergartens will be filming their music videos for Light Up Your Hearts.  We are very excited. 

 

If you have not signed the CBE use of student information form OR sent Mrs. Coulson an email with consent to have your student filmed for this project and you would like your student to participate please send an email to jabaine@cbe.ab.ca.

 

PM kindergarten - if you have Santa hats please wear them!

Monday February 22

We started learning about 2d and 3d shapes. The children were given popsicle sticks and pipe cleaners and had to make as many shapes as they could. We talked about each shape and what it looks like. We played shape games with a partner where one partner drew a shape and the other had to ask yes or no questions to try and figure out what the shape is. For example, "Does it have 4 corners?" "Does it have 3 sides?" etc.  We continued to work on our penguin dioramas.  We had music and gym. Ask your child what they did with Mrs. Coulson and Mr. Der? Wednesday is PINK shirt day.
