Today is Crazy Sweater day!  It was so fun to see everyone in their great sweaters!  We look forward to next Thursday to see everyone's crazy hats!



















Today is the last day for our student teachers, Ms. Felstrom & Ms. Norlin.  We wish them well as they head back to Mount Royal University to continue their studies.  We will miss them both at EHS!

Today we learned about the number 9.  Please challenge your child to make a set of 9 similar items at home.  Have your child practice writing the number 9.  Can you find the number 9 when you are out walking in the community?

We read the story Be Kind.  We continued to work on learning about our feelings and developing our superheroes.  We talked, drew and wrote about what kind of super powers we have and how we can spread kindness to others.

Cookie Cane left us a note asking for us to show kindness at home by helping out. We hope that all the children do something special at home tonight to help out :)

Show and Tell is starting in Kindergarten!  Please see the schedule below for your child's date to show and share and mark it on your calendar!  Please have your child bring 1 item from home to share that makes them happy.  Please practice with your child at home what they would like to say about their special item before their day at school.

 Tomorrow is library day.  Please return your library book. Friday is AM Friday.  There is no school Friday January 29 as it is a Professional Development day. Monday February 22

We started learning about 2d and 3d shapes. The children were given popsicle sticks and pipe cleaners and had to make as many shapes as they could. We talked about each shape and what it looks like. We played shape games with a partner where one partner drew a shape and the other had to ask yes or no questions to try and figure out what the shape is. For example, "Does it have 4 corners?" "Does it have 3 sides?" etc.  We continued to work on our penguin dioramas.  We had music and gym. Ask your child what they did with Mrs. Coulson and Mr. Der? Wednesday is PINK shirt day.
