Today we read the book Fletcher and the Falling Leaves again ... sometimes when we find a great book we like to read it again and again!  Today we did a guided drawing of a fox.  Art Hub for Kids - How to draw a fox .  We used the pastels to color in our drawing.  It was fun to experiment with something new to color with.  We practiced writing the word "fox" to go with our drawing.  We talked about the Letter F, what sound it makes and other words we know that start with F.  The F Video














Today is Take Me Outside Day.  In gym today we went outside to play at the park.  

The afternoon students had the opportunity to meet outside with our indigenous elder, Saa'KoKoToo.

AM Kindergarten will be outside tomorrow morning.  Please send your child with snow pants, gloves/mitts and boots.  We will be outside for 30 mins.

Thursday October 22 Photo Retake Day

Friday, Oct 23 AM Classes Attends & PM Classes Attends - you might wonder why both classes are attending at the same time? This date was originally scheduled as a field trip for the whole school to Glenbow Ranch.  Due to Covid protocols we are no longer allowed to go on field trips.  We look forward to having both AM/PM kiddos at school together on Friday.

 Tomorrow is library day.  Please return your library book. Friday is AM Friday.  There is no school Friday January 29 as it is a Professional Development day. We started learning about 2d and 3d shapes. The children were given popsicle sticks and pipe cleaners and had to make as many shapes as they could. We talked about each shape and what it looks like. We played shape games with a partner where one partner drew a shape and the other had to ask yes or no questions to try and figure out what the shape is. For example, "Does it have 4 corners?" "Does it have 3 sides?" etc.  We continued to work on our penguin dioramas.  We had music and gym. Ask your child what they did with Mrs. Coulson and Mr. Der? Wednesday is PINK shirt day.
