We read Are you a Bee? and talked about about the information we have learned about bees. We chose an interesting fact and wrote about it in our All About Bugs books. We also added a guided drawing of a Bee . 

We practiced adding groups together with some addition sentences. We are learning to use objects, drawings, our fingers and counting on to help us solve problems. 

We had music with Mrs. Coulson and gym with Mr. Der. Mrs. Mask's AM class got to climb on the climbing wall.

Tomorrow is PM Kindergarten.

 Tomorrow is library day.  Please return your library book. Friday is AM Friday.  There is no school Friday January 29 as it is a Professional Development day. We started learning about 2d and 3d shapes. The children were given popsicle sticks and pipe cleaners and had to make as many shapes as they could. We talked about each shape and what it looks like. We played shape games with a partner where one partner drew a shape and the other had to ask yes or no questions to try and figure out what the shape is. For example, "Does it have 4 corners?" "Does it have 3 sides?" etc.  We continued to work on our penguin dioramas.  We had music and gym. Ask your child what they did with Mrs. Coulson and Mr. Der? Wednesday is PINK shirt day. We used q-tips and paint to paint dots on the letter D.
