Monday June 14

We continued to learn about insects. We began to learn about butterflies. We talked about what we know about the butterfly and then read the story, "Bye, Bye, Butterfly" . We learned about the life cycle of a butterfly.  We painted our bees that we drew last week as we continue to work on our "All About Bugs" book.

We watched How a Caterpillar Becomes a Butterfly and acted out all 4 stages of the life cycle.

We played addition math games to practice the skill of counting on from the biggest number.

We had music with Mrs. Coulson.

We enjoyed the beautiful sunshine and went outside to play for gym.

Friday is AM kindergarten.

If you have not sent a yogurt or sour cream lid with your child, please do so ASAP.  We would like to start working on our art project with the lid this week.  If you have any extra lids, please feel free to send those along too!  Thanks!

Wednesday, June 16th, is Wacky Wednesday and the next Wednesday, June 23rd, will be Beach day (no bathing suits please).

We will also be hosting a virtual talent show in the last week of school so if you have talent submit a video.  We ask that videos not be longer than a minute, if they are I will be editing them shorter.  A talent can be anything that you are great at so dig deep! Of course this is totally optional but if you would like a chance to showcase what you can do please submit a video to https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1hMdt38EKYBqxckjzuXbljB3FTczpRVx9?usp=sharing NO LATER THAN… Wednesday June 16th.  Please be aware that this is a google drive folder and anyone with the link can view.  Please just upload your video there, making sure it’s appropriate, and leave the rest to us! We can’t wait to see what you come up with!!
