Friday June 12

Today we started our morning with cooperative games.

We continued to learn about insects. We began to learn about butterflies. We talked about what we know about the butterfly and then read the story The Very Impatient Caterpillar. We learned about the life cycle of a butterfly. We watched How a Caterpillar Becomes a Butterfly and acted out all 4 stages of the life cycle.

We did a guided drawing of the very impatient butterfly. 

We practice writing addition sentences while playing a word problem game. The children are getting very good at drawing, using objects, their fingers and counting on to help them solve the problems.

We had centers and played at the playground.

Try playing Sum of All Dice if you want some extra practice with addition !

If you have not brought in a plastic lid (yogurt, sour cream etc.) , please bring one for Monday.

We will also be hosting a virtual talent show in the last week of school so if you have talent submit a video.  We ask that videos not be longer than a minute, if they are I will be editing them shorter.  A talent can be anything that you are great at so dig deep!
