On Friday May 7 we will offer 2 google meet times. Please choose the time that works best for your child to attend.
Session #1 9:15am 30 mins
Session #2 10:00am 30 mins
Please have your child ready with paper, pencil, colors, glue and scissors for school each day.
Accessing Google Meet for the First Time
Google Meet is a video conferencing application that enables us to host and invite our students to join organized ‘meetings’ in real-time. We are able to share our screen and their screen and guide students through tasks and/or documents and websites they wish to share.
Students will access Google Meet using their CBE Gmail address (username@educbe.ca) and password: cat54321
* IF YOUR TEACHER HAS NOT YET ENTERED THE GOOGLE MEET YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO JOIN THE MEET. PLEASE DON'T TRY TO GO IN EARLIER THAN TIME STATED. *
JOINING A GOOGLE MEET
- In a web browser enter https://meet.google.com.
- Click Join or start a meeting.
- Enter a meeting code or nickname.
- Click Continue and then Join now.
After your google meet, please choose from the following activities to try at home with your pet.
Listen to Children Make Terrible Pets
If you cannot attend a google meet today we will be talking about pets and the children will be drawing and cutting out their very own pet. What kind of pet would you have? How will you take care of it?
Then for the rest of the day/ weekend try some of the activities below.
Choice Board for Activities with your pet
Choice #1
Create a home for your paper pet using items in your house. Add lots of details! Place your pet inside.
Choice #2
Search through grocery store flyers. Cut out pieces of food that you think your paper pet would like. Draw your own food if you don't have flyers.
Choice #3
Take your paper pet outside for a walk! Post a picture on IRIS. Can you find a leaf, stick or rock that is the same size as your paper pet?
Choice #4
Read a story (or listen to a story ) to your pet.

Choice #5
Write about your paper pet. What's your pets name? What does your pet like? Describe what they look like.
