Today we added to our Community Booklets with a lesson on essential workers. Ask your child about the helpers we have learned about. Which helper did they draw?  What is the role of that helper in our community? What tools do they use to help them?

We had music with Mrs. Coulson. Ask your child about what they did. 

In gym, we played fun games that incorporated strength, agility, and balance.

There was NO library exchange today. We will have to wait until next week to get new books. 

Tomorrow is PM Kindergarten. Please dress for the weather as we will be going on a community walk. Please pack a snack for your child that they can carry in their pocket. Thank you. 

We are looking for some empty cracker and/or cereal boxes to use in a community building project for next week. We are looking for about 7 boxes per class.

 Tomorrow is library day.  Please return your library book. Friday is AM Friday.  There is no school Friday January 29 as it is a Professional Development day. We started learning about 2d and 3d shapes. The children were given popsicle sticks and pipe cleaners and had to make as many shapes as they could. We talked about each shape and what it looks like. We played shape games with a partner where one partner drew a shape and the other had to ask yes or no questions to try and figure out what the shape is. For example, "Does it have 4 corners?" "Does it have 3 sides?" etc.  We continued to work on our penguin dioramas.  We had music and gym. Ask your child what they did with Mrs. Coulson and Mr. Der? Wednesday is PINK shirt day. We used q-tips and paint to paint dots on the letter D.
