Tuesday March 16

Kindergarten started the day writing in their journals on a free-choice topic. In math, we began with a catchy video from Harry Kindergarten (2D Shapes I Know on Vimeo) and continued practicing identifying shapes by their attributes, this time with a roll and cover game.

We have begun a study on community by learning more about each other, our favourite activities and about each other’s families.  We read the story "On the Town" and began talking about the people who help in our community.  We talked about our houses and drew a picture of our house.  Some of us were able to write our house number to add to our drawing.  Please practice your address with your child.

We had centers and gym. In gym, we had an obstacle course where we are practicing different rolls and balances we have learned.

Tomorrow is dress like an animal day.

Please return home reading and library books on Thursday this week.

Please note:  a pair of glasses were misplaced this morning in Mrs. Conley's class.  Please check your child's backpack in case they were accidentally placed there.  If you find the glasses, please email Mrs. Conley.  Thank you!
