Monday March 8

Today your child is bringing home their home reading.  Please return these books March 18th.  This is due to no school on Thursday and Friday for virtual parent teacher conferences.  Library book exchange will happen on Wednesday this week.  Please have your child return their library book on Wednesday.

Wednesday is dress like a teacher day at school!  We look forward to seeing how teachers dress!

Today we played a math game to practice drawing and naming 2D shapes.  

We began talking about our community and did some brainstorming of all the fun things we can do in our community.

Thursday and Friday are parent teacher interviews. Please book your appointment on Powerschool. Thank you :)

 Tomorrow is library day.  Please return your library book. Friday is AM Friday.  There is no school Friday January 29 as it is a Professional Development day. Monday February 22

We started learning about 2d and 3d shapes. The children were given popsicle sticks and pipe cleaners and had to make as many shapes as they could. We talked about each shape and what it looks like. We played shape games with a partner where one partner drew a shape and the other had to ask yes or no questions to try and figure out what the shape is. For example, "Does it have 4 corners?" "Does it have 3 sides?" etc.  We continued to work on our penguin dioramas.  We had music and gym. Ask your child what they did with Mrs. Coulson and Mr. Der? Wednesday is PINK shirt day. We used q-tips and paint to paint dots on the letter D.
