Tuesday February 16
Today we welcomed Mrs. Molyneux into Mrs. Mask's classroom. She is a 2nd year St. Marys student teacher who will be with us until April 29.
We learned a new math game. We used 15 cards (no face cards) and had to sort them into piles based on the suit of card. We counted how many we had of each suit and then had to place them into a graph in the order from smallest to biggest. We then compared our graph of the suits and looked what which had to most, the least, equal amounts?
We did writing in our journals. We are getting very good at using the word wall to help us make sentences. We are working on adding more details to our pictures and colouring in the lines nicely.
We review rhyming words and played some rhyming games. We looked at the "en" word family. What words can you make ?
The PM kindergarten finished up their penguin information booklets. We learned about predators and then decorated the front of the booklet.
We had gym and played relay races and fruit basket game.
This Friday is a PM Kindergarten day.
We will be starting this project tomorrow :)
Please send your child to school on Tuesday February 16 with 1 box (a shoe box or a clean pizza box). Please label your child's box with their name and put their additional supplies inside. Please do not send the items early to school as we a limited storage space. Thank you!
