Friday November 6
We learned about how we are all writers in Kindergarten. We talked about telling stories that can be true or a memory, make believe(imagination) or about something we know a lot about (facts). The children drew a picture about something they wanted to share and then wrote their story at the bottom of the page. As writers, we can tell a story by using, swirly printing, swirl combo, letter printing, sound printing or book printing. Everyone is kindergarten can share their story by swirly printing. Ask your child what they wrote about today.
We read the story "The Rainbow Fish" Please enjoy the story. The Rainbow Fish
Ms. Norlin and Ms. Felstrom taught a lesson using guided drawing to make a fish. We used tissue paper and foil to turn our fish into a rainbow fish.
We had centers and played outside at the playground.
We have been working on numbers 1-10. We have learned about 10 Frames. Ten Frame Mania gives the children the opportunity to work on number recognition and building numbers in ten frames.
Please try out the Ten Frame Mania game. Ten Frame Mania
Jacket Racket 2020
We need your help! We are currently collecting winter wear for Jacket Racket as we have for the past 4 years. Due to Covid restrictions, we ask that you drop off new or gently used items in the collection bins outside the front door of the school. Jacket Racket will accept coats, hats, mittens/gloves, boots, etc. in children's and adult sizes. Please ensure the items are cleaned and in good condition.
Thank you so much for thinking of others during this challenging time!
