Friday November 13

We learned about how we are all writers in Kindergarten. We talked about telling stories that can be true or a memory, make believe(imagination) or about something we know a lot about (facts). The children drew a picture about something they wanted to share and then wrote their story at the bottom of the page. As writers, we can tell a story by using, swirly printing, swirl combo, letter printing, sound printing or book printing. Everyone is kindergarten can share their story by swirly printing.

We read the story, "The Snowy Day" and the children drew and wrote about their favourite winter activity. What did your child tell a story about?

Ms. Felstrom and Ms. Norlin played a charades game with us and all the words started with the letter E.

We played different math centers that all involved numbers to 12. Counting or building numbers up to 12. Play a board game this weekend that involves dice for cards to practice number recognition and counting.

We took advantage of the nice weather and went outside to play in the snow.

Jacket Racket 2020

We need your help!  We are currently collecting winter wear for Jacket Racket as we have for the past 4 years.  Due to Covid restrictions, we ask that you drop off new or gently used items in the collection bins outside the front door of the school.  Jacket Racket will accept coats, hats, mittens/gloves, boots, etc. in children's and adult sizes.  Please ensure the items are cleaned and in good condition.

Thank you so much for thinking of others during this challenging time!
