Thursday October 8

Please remember there is no school tomorrow or Monday October 12th (Thanksgiving).  Happy Thanksgiving!  Enjoy your long weekend!

Today we worked on strengthening our fine motor skills as we used scissors.  We snipped strips of paper and then glued the pieces onto a leaf.  We talked about the rules for using scissors, including keeping our chicken wings (arms) down, thumb up to the sky, using our other hand to help turn and hold the paper, and pointing the scissors away from us as we cut.  Please consider giving your child magazines or flyers to cut pictures out at home.  This will help to strengthen their fine motor skills.

We had book exchange. Remember to read daily with your child. We love reading stories in Kindergarten!

We had music and gym today.  Please ask your child what they did.

Math - This week at school in math we will focus on sorting.  Please enjoy these activities at home with your child.
