Monday October 5

Please note:  Tomorrow (Tuesday Oct 6) Kindergarten will be walking to Teepee Forest (the playground located at the corner of Tuscany Way and Tuscany Springs Hill).  We will be outside for 1.5 hours.  Please ensure that your child is dressed for the weather and wearing comfortable walking shoes.

Today at school we continuing to work on our fine motor skills.  We listened to the story Lines that Wiggle Lines That Wiggle and then we drew lines (vertical, horizontal, zig zag, wavy, diagonal) in our journals with our sharpies.  Once we had all the lines draw we used watercolors to paint the sections and make masterpieces.

We explored with our Fall loose part bags.  It is create to listen to the children as their imaginations come alive as they use manipulatives to tell stories.

We had music with Mrs. Coulson and gym with Mr. Der.  Please ask your child what they did in both.

Math - This week at school in math we will focus on sorting.  Please enjoy these activities at home with your child.

Sorting Laundry: 
Materials - laundry or whatever you have at home that can be sorted
Sort laundry by colour, size, type of clothing (ex. shirts) or another way. Find other things at home that you can sort.  Ask your child to describe their sorting rules.
