Friday October 23

Today was a great day at school!  It was very exciting to have all our friends at school at the same time!

We had our first virtual Peace Assembly.  A Peace Assembly happens usually once a month where classes at the school take turns sharing what they are learning and remind us of ways we can help to build peaceful communities.  We watched in the gym as students from Ms. Huebner/Mrs. Cox grade 3/4 class presented on the smart board.  We learned the song "I've Got Peace in My Fingers"  Peace in my Fingers.  This song is very important to EHS as it reminds us of how we can help to build peaceful communities at Eric Harvie.  We will sing this song many times this year.

We had fun exploring Halloween activities today!  We read a couple of pumpkin stories. We used yarn to lace pumpkins and then we added faces to turn our pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns.    We read Pete the Cat and the Five Little Pumpkins Pete the Cat.  We drew five little pumpkins in our journals.  We practiced coloring in the lines after we drew the pumpkin shape.  We counted the pumpkins and wrote the numbers, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
