 Today was a great first day in Kindergarten.  We had so much fun meeting all our new friends and look forward to meeting more new friends tomorrow.

Please note: each child will be bringing home a ziploc bag with 2 government issued masks.  Please wash and label your child's mask.  All Kindergarten children have received the same masks, they are all shades of pink and red with hearts. 

Please do not send indoor shoes with your child at this point.  For the month of September we will not be changing shoes at school.  Please make sure your child wears comfortable shoes that they can run and play in.

 Tomorrow is library day.  Please return your library book. Friday is AM Friday.  There is no school Friday January 29 as it is a Professional Development day. Monday February 22

We started learning about 2d and 3d shapes. The children were given popsicle sticks and pipe cleaners and had to make as many shapes as they could. We talked about each shape and what it looks like. We played shape games with a partner where one partner drew a shape and the other had to ask yes or no questions to try and figure out what the shape is. For example, "Does it have 4 corners?" "Does it have 3 sides?" etc.  We continued to work on our penguin dioramas.  We had music and gym. Ask your child what they did with Mrs. Coulson and Mr. Der? Wednesday is PINK shirt day. We used q-tips and paint to paint dots on the letter D.
