Today was a great day at school.
We are learning about patterns and practicing making our own. Try making a pattern using actions/movements at home. 
We interviewed some more friends in kindergarten today. What were their names? What was something they told us about?
We read the story, "Our Class is a Family". We talked about what a family is to us and how school could be a like a family too. We made a list of classroom expectations. What is on our list?
We drew pictures in our visual journal about our classroom.  Ask your child, what they drew.

We had gym outside at the playground with Mr. Der. 

Please pack a spare change of clothes in a plastic ziplock bag for your child incase a change of clothes is needed. Thank you for your cooperation. 

With cooler weather approaching, please practice doing up zippers on jackets with your children so they can do their zippers independently. Thank you.

We started learning about 2d and 3d shapes. The children were given popsicle sticks and pipe cleaners and had to make as many shapes as they could. We talked about each shape and what it looks like. We played shape games with a partner where one partner drew a shape and the other had to ask yes or no questions to try and figure out what the shape is. For example, "Does it have 4 corners?" "Does it have 3 sides?" etc.  We continued to work on our penguin dioramas.  We had music and gym. Ask your child what they did with Mrs. Coulson and Mr. Der? Wednesday is PINK shirt day.
